New Zealand wines for restaurants, hotels and trade

This has to be the coolest winery team in New Zealand. In a world of increasing blandness Framingham remain individual. In a cluttered wine landscape, where so many seem the same, Framingham believes in doing things differently. The long-serving team around winemaker Dr. Andrew Hedley only sources fruit from the Wairau Valley, from both their own vineyard and carefully selected grower sites nearby. At the boutique winery in the Wairau Valley, they craft expressive, individual small batch wines with new world purity and old world complexity.Four diverse styles of Riesling from their 30+ year old vines show off the estate’s stony terrior in a distinctly Germanic fashion. The Sauvignon Blanc is distinctly Marlborough with a mineral twist, crafted from many different batches from several diverse Wairau Valley sites. The strictly limited edition F-Series wines are vintage specific. They are not meant to be better than the Framingham range just different. The F-Series is not a reserve range, rather alternative takes on the varietals within the Framingham range.
